We are seeking a level 2 qualified Painter and Decorator for a permanent position in the Harrogate area. This opportunity may suit someone who has recently qualified and Is looking for their first or next role. Based on a large public sector commercial sitethe role will be busy but not pressurised with an emphasis on completing work to a high standard.

As the Painter & Decorator you will:

- Be responsible for working to the schedule of planned and reactive works, to ensure that the interior and exterior finishes and cosmetic building fabric are maintained to a high level.
- Undertake preparation of walls / surfaces including filling, sanding, plastering and undercoating
- Ensuring all painting and finishing is done to a very high standard
- Undertaking snagging and small touch up / repair tasks as well as full redecoration
- Application of a range of oil-based, acrylic, cellulose and emulsion finishes to a high standard.
- Installation and repairs to interior walls, flooring and ceiling surfaces, preparation of surfaces and repairs to plasterboard and dry wall
- Work alongside other trades to make good finishes after engineering installation activities.

As the Painter & Decorator you will:

- Be either time-served (3 years min) or a level 2 qualified Painter and decorator with experience in a commercial environment
- Have your tools & equipment
- Be well presented, personable and professional
- Be able to work to a high level of quality with a range of different materials
- Be health and safety aware
- Be able to read basic construction drawings
- Be required to undertake a full DBS check
