Garage Door Fitter

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Install new garage doors and openers according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair issues with existing garage doors, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Perform routine maintenance on garage door systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Fabricate custom parts as needed for unique installations or repairs.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various environments.
- Work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times while on the job site.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a trade such as carpentry, electrical work, or masonry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to plumb accurately for proper installation of garage door systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- A valid driver’s licence is required for travel to job sites.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour for extended periods.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to garage door technology and installation techniques.

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
