Could you be the right person to fill one of our positions?** We are now recruiting for a **CNC Setter / Operator (Miller)** to set an operate our CNC Mills to produce parts correct to drawing. **In addition to the above, as our CNC Setter / Operator you will be responsible for the below**: - Setting and running proven and unproven programs, adjusting work and / or tool co-ordinates and correcting any errors. - Setting tools and producing "First off" parts to the correct quality. - Fulfilling training programmes deemed necessary to allow efficient performance. - Maintaining of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements. **The essential skills / experience required for this role are**: - Must have experience in using CNC Milling Machines - Basic training of a craft apprenticeship and 5 years minimum experience of actual machining - Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T. - Ability to read & understand ISO and conversational machine programs. - Capable of using various machine controls (FANUC, Heidenhain and Siemens). - Understand how tools and material will react after & during machining. - To be able to foresee potential problems before they arise. - Deadline driven without compromising quality. - Ideally have experience in machining chambers and fabricated items. - Understands requirements of On Time Delivery both internally and externally. - Multipallet (fast tems) **It would be great if you had**: - IT literate (Windows 10, MS Office). - Experienced in manual milling. - Experienced in CNC turning (optional). - Mechanical Inspection **This could be the opportunity for you** **What Vacgen offers**: We offer 25 days holiday, company pension, life insurance, flexible working hours with a 1200hrs finish on a Friday, a state-of-the-art working environment, a great benefits package and a competitive salary. **If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in the following role click on "APPLY" today, forwarding an up-to-date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.** No agencies please.
