**Grounds Person to join Estates Team**

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Person to join our Team to assist in all garden care and maintenance of our beautiful mature parklands. The estate is large at 65 acres and consists of mixed and herbaceous beds and borders, trees, and extensive lawns and work will be varied.
The role will suit a knowledgeable, confident, grounds person who is passionate about gardening, can communicate well with others, has a can-do attitude and who will enjoy working as part of a dedicated and hardworking team. If this sounds like you, read on
**Our Grounds Person will**:
- Assist in all aspects of horticulture and garden management including lawn management, hedge cutting, planting, pruning, feeding, and weeding under the guidance of our Head Gardener
- Cultivate the grassed areas, flower beds, hedges, shrubs and borders and hard landscaping areas including drainage clearance, pathways, and steps.
- Clear leaves around the site as required, both by machine and manually
- Carry out minor repairs to external facilities and assisting with hard landscaping repairs
- Assist with estate management duties i.e., repairing of fences and other similar tasks
- Assist in the management garden pests and weed control.
**Our ideal Grounds Person will have**:
- Strong general plant knowledge
- Competent working to Health and Safety and COSHH regulations
- Ability to work on your own as well as within a team environment.
- Hold a full driving licence.
- A qualification within the horticultural trade would be an advantage.

- Shifts will consist of 8 hours, equating to 40 hours per week; shifts will include bank holidays. Normal work pattern Monday to Friday but occasional flexibility for weekend working is required.
