**Job Description - Projects Administrator**
We are Rowland Door Services Limited (RDS) and we are looking for a Projects administrator to join our ever-growing team and business based in Kings Norton, South Birmingham.
This Projects admins responsibilities include coordinating with different departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within set budgets.
Ultimately, you will also work with various teams and stakeholders to monitor project progress and provide oversight to ensure projects are completed promptly and within budget.
We have project work running throughout the year for a number of national blue-chip client so our project work varies both in its final purpose and size.
It is essential that this Projects admin is a self-motivated individual who can work upon their own initiative and work within a fast and busy environment, to be dynamic enough to deal with the day to day challenges the world of project work can throw at them.
**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Projects administrator or similar role will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is essential
- Highly organized and able to multitask and oversee several projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Relevant training and/or certifications in an admin role will be an advantage
- Be able to work under pressure whilst delivery outstanding service and achieve tight deadlines
- To be an organised individual who can manage and schedule their own day and week, to be a strong note taker with impeccable attention to detail is essential
- Good planning skills and organising engineers’ day to day activity
**Responsibilities**
- Research information to support other teams and departments as needed to ensure delivery of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing quotations, purchase orders, invoices, scheduling meetings, and planning work etc
- To be able to deal with clients in all aspects from project updates to project related issues
- Keep track of and report on project progress and cascade both internally and externally
- Complete any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner to ensure project delivery and progress.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager orderly and efficiently
- To work within a high-pressured environment where timescales and delivery are a major priority
- To provide a timely, effective and professional planning for project delivery
- To contribute to the effective running of the department,

Projects administrators ensure that projects run smoothly from start to finish by helping with planning and execution. They often work on larger, complex tasks to assist more experienced Project Managers or closely collaborate with another team member who can provide guidance when needed.
A project admin has many duties, but they typically focus on assisting in the organization and implementation of projects. You will help coordinate tasks daily by dealing with project engineers, suppliers, contractors, clients including all deliverables and data analysis, as well as duties such as raising and issuing of purchase orders, maintaining and delivering project updates to frontline engineers and clients, at all times ensuring that everything goes according to plan.
A good Assistant Project Manager must have excellent communication skills since they work with several teams and departments throughout a project. They must also have good organizational skills to manage several projects at the same time and ensure all aspects of a project are completed on time and within budget.
An Assistant Project Manager will work with different departments to ensure a project is completed promptly, you will be supervised by our dedicated Project Manager. Forming and maintaining strong relationships with other internal divisions like Service, accounts and Frontline engineering to ensure delivery of projects both to strict timescale’s and within budget.
