**Human Resources Advisor**

This is an exciting opportunity that A.F. Blakemore are recruiting for. We are looking for a Human Resources Advisor at our Head office at Willenhall (West Midlands).

You will provide customer-focussed, accurate and consistent advice and support to managers and employees in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

**Key Tasks/Responsibilities**
- Provide first line advice to managers and employees within the shared services team
- Promptly answer high volumes of incoming HR calls and making outbound calls where necessary to report back and resolve queries
- Understand and be able to give advice on HR policies, processes and procedures to employees and managers
- Escalate individual or complex HR queries to a HR Officer
- Identify trends through queries to suggest amendments and process improvement as required
- Working to tight deadlines and within service level agreements
- Work collaboratively with own team and across other HR functions
- Support the operational HR team and take notes in low level disciplinaries where required, ensuring legislation, policy and best practice are followed and HR SLA's are met.
- Accurately enter data onto the HR Database (MyHR) system
- Conduct security checks on new employees through adherence to the Asylum and Immigration regulations, obtaining employment references where necessary
- Prepare and issue all paperwork in relation to appointments, disciplinaries, terminations and variations of employment as and when required

**Some Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required**

**Essential**
- Good standard of literacy and numerical skills
- Ability to talk to staff at all levels
- Ability to competently deal with internal and external customer queries
- Previous experience of working within a HR department

**Desirable**
- Working towards or completed CIPD level 3
- Some working knowledge of Employment Legislation and working Policies and Procedures
- Keen interest in Human Resource Processes

**Location**: Willenhall
**Contract type**: Permanent
**Hours**: 40 hrs p/wk
**Salary**: £19,700 - £21,500 p/a, plus benefits - depending on experience
