**School Caretaker (Part-time)**

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.50 - £12 per hour

**Hours of Work**: 2 hours per day 9.30 am
- 11.30 am, 10 hours per week. Timings Negotiable prior to employment

**Position start**:April 2025

**About the position**:
Alamiyah School is a small Montessori Islamic School accommodating children aged 3-11 years.

**We are seeking to appoint an outstanding member of staff to work in our team whose duties would include, but not be limited to**:

- General caretaking duties
- Maintenance of outdoor areas (including playground areas): sweeping, weeding, cleaning
- Manual work
- Occasional heavy lifting
- DIY and basic onsite repairs
- Working collaboratively with staff to help improve the external environment of the School site
- Completing and regularly updating documentation relating to specific maintenance tasks on a daily and weekly basis

It would be highly desirable if you have the following skills and competencies:

- A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and expectations for a safe School site
- Have previous experience within caretaking or a similar role
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative with a flexible nature
- Basic handyman skills
