**Duties will include the following but not exclusively**
- Use computerised appointment system to book routine/emergency appointments for patients at reception or via telephone
- Greet patients and deal with their enquiries patiently and efficiently, including requests for home visits
- support Issuing and distributing repeat prescriptions both paper and electronic
- Telephone/contact patients and health care professionals where necessary
- Take and record appropriate messages accurately on computer system
- Undertake administration tasks as required by clinicians/management team
- support Managing referrals (via Electronic Referral System) including Urgent and Two Week Wait referral
- Deal with referral queries from patients and clinicians
- Use of scanning equipment and software
- Handling patient information in line with Practice protocol
- Administration support and cover
- Any other relevant duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice
This job description may need to be changed from time to time as the Practice develops. It is important that all staff are prepared to accept additional duties or relinquish existing ones in order to maintain the efficient running of the practice.
