Employee Experience (EX) is the sum of all the touchpoints and moments that matter between employees and their employers. It sits at the heart of delivering superior customer experience and is key to our clients’ success. Willis Towers Watson is the leader in Employee Experience.
We have the unique ability to use insights to drive impact. That means we ground everything we do in a deep understanding of what people care about - what makes them tick, what’s inhibiting change, what really matters. And we use that to fuel their Employee Experience, shaping high-value, high-impact people solutions - and delivering them in a way that sparks behavior change and drives business results.
Our people come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of skills and capabilities - we’re insights masters, change catalysts, storytellers, culture shapers, organization strategists, digital champions and more. Our colleagues know the power of bringing these capabilities and our offerings together to develop and execute high-impact solutions for our clients’ most complex challenges.
Together, we’re all about powering ambitions—of our colleagues, our clients and their people.
**The Role**
As a Director within Communications and Engagement Solutions, you will lead the development and execution of strategies and related deliverables that support large-scale Employee Experience changes and HR programs (including Total Reward, pension and benefits, organization transformation, the future of work, wellbeing and culture). You will be responsible for developing new business and providing strategic guidance to client organizations, leadership and project delivery teams.
To be effective in this role, you will need strong business acumen, together with the confidence to interact with senior executives, lead groups and serve as a trusted advisor. Comfort navigating ambiguity and uncertainty, organized thinking, strong communication skills, plus a willingness to participate in strategic design and tactical implementation are also critical.
Specifically, you will need to:
- Demonstrate effective relationship management skills to build ongoing relationships with key clients to become their trusted advisor and deliver Communication & Engagement solutions.
- Develop insights and strategies related to Employee Experience (EX) and/or managing a change in an organisation (including assessment of risks and impacts) - and communicate these clearly and succinctly to identified stakeholders.
- Oversee translation of complex concepts into compelling Communication & Engagement solutions across various media, including print and digital, with an eye towards cutting-edge solutions and data integration.
- Provide thought leadership to the development of intellectual capital, including new tools, solutions and approaches around Employee Experience (EX).
- Partner with colleagues across the Health, Wealth & Career business to sell and deliver integrated advice, data and software that helps clients hire, build, engage and lead the talent they need to win.
- Sell, design, develop and implement Employee Experience (EX) strategies for a broad range of HR programs, which drive desired changes in employee behaviour.
- Demonstrate effective sales leadership behaviors, including team collaboration, creativity, compelling RFP writing, persistent follow-up, sound judgment in scoping/pricing, and focusing on closing the deal.
- Build relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams to maximize the penetration of key target accounts.
- Deliver profitable revenue to the business through individual sales and billable hours goals.
- Balance high-value strategic delivery with effective delegation, while enforcing budget, timeline and quality standards.
**The requirements**
- Extensive business experience in managing large-scale client interactions. Consulting experience is preferred but not a pre-requisite; experience working for traditional HR consulting firms is a plus
- Exceptional client relationship management skills
- Track record of success in building and maintaining client relationships, leading teams and generating revenue (global experience preferred)
- Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
- An executive presence with polished and well-developed facilitation, written and oral communication skills that demonstrate creativity and technical expertise
- Experience working with graphic designers to craft the “look and feel” of a communication
- Experience managing concurrent, multi-dimensional projects and people on time and within budget
- Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
