**Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats according to specifications.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.
- Support the butcher in processing orders and managing inventory.
- Ensure that all equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised.
- Help with the packaging and labelling of products for sale.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the butchery.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food production and safety.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or butchery environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for culinary arts and food preparation is an advantage.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
