An opportunity for a Senior Credit Controller has arisen to join a great company based in the Slough area.

You will be reporting to the credit control manager and undertake the following responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Credit Control objective of achieving quarterly aged debtor targets in DGC as follows:

- Debt 3 months and over - no greater than 2% of total debt
- Debt 2 months and over - no greater than 6% of total debt
- Credit Control objective of achieving quarterly aged debtor targets in vehicle ledger as follows:

- Debt 3 months and over - no greater than 1% of total debt
- Debt 2 months and over - no greater than 5% of total debt
- Periodic review of customer credit limits, recommending appropriate action
- Ensure that month-end statements are issued to customers in a timely manner and copy invoices supplied as a matter of priority
- To arrange for all relevant direct debit collections for contract vehicles
- To exercise discretion and judgement in debt collection through various stages of Credit Control process: phone/written communication to chase overdue debt, take appropriate STOP action and issue 7 day legal notice action; ultimately to pass debt to SeniorCredit Controllers to instigate HMCS legal action against customers, when necessary. It is expected that phone conversations with all Top ten accounts will take place several times each month.
- EPQ management. This to include liaison with customers management to ensure swift resolution of queries to enable collection of debt.
- Any other duties that are required to support the Group Credit control team
- Act under direction of the Credit Control Manager, in the absence of Group Head of Finance, ensuring adequate prioritisation of workload

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 3 years in a similar role
- Strong team player
- Strong communication skills
- Good system skills
