Job Title: Warehouse Operative - Days
Hours of work: 08:00-18:00
Shift Pattern: 5 on - 3 off on a roster pattern

**Salary**: £10.40 per hour, overtime paid at x1.25

JOB PURPOSE/PROFILE
- Responsible for the receipt of incoming goods, order picking and loading of completed orders in a safety conscious and time critical environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- All pick assignments are picked 100% accurately and equal to or better than agreed pick rate
- All outbound loads are loaded 100% accurately and equal or better than the agreed rate and on time in a manner which results in no damage to the product in transit
- Stock counts are performed 100% accurately every night on all stock
- Ensure Food, health and quality standards are carried out at all times
- All returned stock is checked for the correct paperwork and quantity, all returned stock is placed in the designated area
- To manage own performance and deliver improvements in line with objectives.
- To ensure that the direct work area and shared welfare facilities are presented to their best appearance at all times, we should always be “visit ready”
- Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and used in line with training
- Adhere to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the company’s recycling and waste management program
- Ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn and maintained at all times and that all breaches in Health, Safety and Welfare are reported immediately to the site management team
- Undertake further Warehouse Operative duties, as requested by supervisor/ manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of using a hand pallet truck (not essential, training provided)
- Experience of the safe operation of a electric powered pallet truck (not essential, training provided)
- Experience of the safe operation of a electric ride on powered pallet truck (not essential, training provided)
- Able to work under pressure
- Must possess a reasonable level of verbal & numerical reasoning
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Adaptable approach to training
- Conscientious and reliable
- Good working attitude
- Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential
