We are looking for a Compliance and Utility Connections Specialist to join our Central Services team based at Deeside with some travel across the UK.

This would suit someone who has worked on large scale Compliance projects within a progressive business.

**Purpose of the role**:
To control all aspects of equipment and mechanical compliance across the Iceland estate.
- Through data analysis, reporting and auditing, the key areas of the role will be to ensure Iceland meet all legislative compliance requirements as well as the identification of any shortfalls.

To ensure utility supplies to new stores are suitably sized and installed.

**Objectives**:

- Identify and agree all planned compliance visits in accordance with current legislation and identify any shortfalls.
- Review and approve all compliance documentation following visits and provide full report summaries.
- Produce tracker report to identify any additional works recommended, or completed, in line with statutory regulations.
- Auditing of completed works to ensure accuracy of documentation and compliance to legislation.
- Periodically reviewing legislation requirements and communicating revisions to key stakeholders.
- Liaise with network operators and project managers to coordinate site works in-line with project timescales.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Data analysis: To analyse and provide feedback on current compliance levels and any deviations to key stakeholders.
- Completion of works: Monitor and control works through to completion.
- Contractor liaison: Provide interface between key stakeholders and contractors on compliance issues, performance, and site works.
- Budget: Ensure compliance works are completed within budget.
- Administration: Oversee and ensure compliance by external contractors on all statutory legislation.
- Business Advice: To provide accurate and timely advice to key stake holders as and when required
- External Relationships: Foster and maintain good relationships with Contractors, service providers and external bodies
- Professional Competence: Keep up to date with technical/professional advances and legislative changes in order to contribute to discussions around Iceland policy.

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE**
- In depth knowledge of compliance within the building services and maintenance industry.
- Relevant health & safety training / awareness
- 3+ years’ experience working in compliance across a multi-site organisation.
- Good understanding of statutory regulations relating to electrical and mechanical industries.
- Full clean driving licence
