**Role**:Application Security Architect

**Location**: Nottingham/London - Remote Working

**Salary**:Up to £90,000 + Bonus

Chapman Tate are looking for a Application Security Architect who will be solution focused and provide support to Solutions Architecture and Application Architects through the software development life cycle (SDLC).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working with the teams in the secure development process at early stages to ensure security by design including championing secure coding techniques.
- Align Risk security and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy.
- Communicate current and emerging security threats with the development teams to guide the development process.
- Work with the Solution Architects and Software Architects to design security architecture that proactively mitigates threats before or as they emerge.
- Plan, research and design robust security architectures.
- Support vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments.
- Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and security requirements.
- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
- Contributes to Security Communities of Practice and Architecture Council
- Participates in technology due diligence of company acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers.
- Regularly communicate vital information, security needs and priorities to upper management
- Interprets technical issues for non-technical audiences and vice versa.
- Develops and delivers formal and informal technical training, presentations, and white papers to both internal and external audiences.

**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive experience in information security with a focus on enterprise software security, performance and reliability.
- Experience in governing and protecting on-prem services and cloud services such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Good understanding of how to secure serverless technologies such as Lambda and Containers.
- Familiar with the security of CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of security issues with languages such as Java and Python
- Thorough working knowledge of the OWASP model for web app security.
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication and authorisation.
- Deep understanding of at-rest and in-use security methods, this includes encryption algorithms and key management patterns.
- Understanding of tokenization, pseudo-anonymisation and full anonymisation techniques.
- In-depth understanding of HTTP and REST API
- Experience with authentication methods such as SAML, OIDC and Auth2.
- Experienced in communicating with senior leadership and proven communication skills to work across technical and business teams to drive change and improvement.
- Experience in rolling out and maintaining GDPR and ISO standards.
