We are looking for a pro-active, motivated individual to join the School Aged Immunisation team as the Immunisation Administrative Assistant. The post will be 18.75 hours a week on a term time only basis, working three or four days a week.

We are looking for an adaptable, flexible person with excellent administration skills; whilst experience of working with children and young people is desirable.

The post holder will need to be flexible regarding start times to enable immunisation sessions to start on time and therefore a 07:45 start may be required on some days.

This role will include significant amounts of data inputting into various electronic spreadsheets and systems, while working closely with the Immunisation Administrator to undertake other designated administrative duties. You will also be required to attend school based immunisation sessions to provide administrative support at the session and as such will need to be a car driver with access to a car, willing to travel and carry light weight equipment, immunisation supplies and resources as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work closely with the SHN assistants and the Immunisation Team to support the delivery of the school based immunisations programme, this will include booking immunisation sessions, traveling to schools, undertaking admin duties at sessions in schools and clinics.
- To provide a polite and efficient service when undertaking duties at sessions in schools
- To develop a thorough knowledge of the databases and computer systems used and use these daily to ensure that they accurately reflect data.
- To accurately type and distribute correspondence, and other documents to deal with all aspects of data processing where training has been provided.
- To be prepared to assist with any other duties as requested commensurate with the band.
- To assist other team members in their work as directed.
- To manage own time and priorities in order to provide the most effective service
- To promote the wellbeing of patients and their families by ensuring good communication whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- To maintain patient documentation under direct supervision of Registered Staff.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient use of resources.
- To be visible and accessible to colleagues in order to work effectively within the team.
- To report accidents, incidents and near misses, to the registered staff, implementing corrective action where necessary.
- To attend meetings as considered appropriate by the Immunisation Team Leader
