Capital City College is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and skilled Optics Lecturer to join our dynamic London-based team.

**About the Role**

The role is currently one day per week with the potential to increase in line with curriculum growth. The role will be based in the Health Academy Department in the Centre for Applied Sciences at our Angel campus.

We are looking for passionate, knowledgeable individuals to join as an hourly paid Lecturer in Optics. Whether you're an experienced educator, a working professional seeking a new challenge, or someone with specialist industry knowledge, there’s a place for you at CCC.

As an hourly paid lecturer, you will:

- Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching sessions that support learners to achieve their goals
- Share your knowledge and real-world insights to help learners develop their skills and understanding
- Adapt your teaching to meet diverse learner needs

**About the Team**

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning. The team has a strong collaborative culture, sharing best practice and innovative approaches to help every student thrive.

**About You**

You will be a registered Optometrist, have experience of working within the sector and have relevant experience in teaching or training. You will also hold or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards and keeping high quality documentation.

We’re looking for a passionate and committed individual with:

- Proven experience in Optics
- Teach and assess on the Level 6 Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing to adult learners
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A commitment to inclusive, learner-focused teaching
- A recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one)

You should be confident in delivering to a diverse range of learners and ready to inspire them to achieve their full potential.
