**Job summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategy and Business Planning**
- Market primary transactions to investors
- Market secondary opportunities to investors and work closely with the secondary trading desks in order to source and distribute paper
- Maintain a regular dialogue with investors in terms of their appetite and requirements and communicating this to the internal clients of the desk
- Operate in accordance with the established internal risk management procedures and risk parameters of the bank
- Proactively discuss with customers about their needs, financial markets and propose suitable ideas and recommendations.
- Identify, target and solicit new customers for the desk
- Work with the syndicate teams to plan syndication strategies
- Advise syndicate teams on expected market clearing terms and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of all economic and financial data likely to affect the products being marketed
- Plan and organise client visits and meetings
- Coordinate Client strategy and coverage with rest of DOD Distribution team
- Liaise with Relationship Managers / Senior Bankers in other areas of the bank regarding marketing opportunities
- Meet or exceed individual objectives and targets and positively contribute to overall team and product line budget
- Mentor junior team members and support the organisation / ensure continuity of support to the business lines from the desk

**Management and Reporting**
- The Sales person will report to the Head of Sales
- Attend a daily sales call and also weekly market calls as requested to review market strategy, exchange ideas and receive updates on any important administrative matters
- Ensure that internal systems are up to date and regular client call notes are distributed within the sales team and to other internal parties as required

**Control**
- Ensure clients are suitably classified (under FCA rules) and are dealt with appropriately
- Ensure clients are cleared by credit, legal, compliance and back office before trading (onboarding) and proactively maintain KYC files for coverage

**Risk**
- Adhere to and understand risks to the bank and the client resulting from marketing initiatives or successful conclusion of transactions.
- Ensure the Head of Sales is made fully aware in a timely fashion of all matters that might have a material impact on the team performance, risk position or compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.

**Communication**
- Entertain clients to promote the bank and its products
- Network with contacts in the business to share knowledge

- Relationship Managers / Senior Bankers - for client information.
