**Role Profile**:Transport Planner

**Purpose**:To support the Transport Team

You will report into the Transport Manager

**Focus areas of the role**:
The success of the role will be measured against the effective implementation of the following focus areas:

- Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules efficiently, ensuring jobs are completed on time and the most cost-effective way.
- Process job schedules and reactive job requests from Account Managers and customers.
- Maintain up-to-date records in our transport management system (Syrinx) and prepare jobs for invoicing.
- Provide excellent communication with drivers throughout their shift.
- Respond promptly to any issues, including breakdowns or delays.
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company policies.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the department with improvement where possible.
- A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day-to-day challenges in providing an effective transport plan
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
- Raise all movement orders for Plant machinery, ensuring movement orders are in place prior to delivery of the products that fall within STGO.

**Education & Qualifications/Experience**
- Basic knowledge of Plant
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
- Customer focus on delivery performance
