RH4 provides medium size semi-independent units set in the residential areas near the town centres and local amenities. The properties can accommodate from four to six young people and emergency respite.
The aims of the homes are:
- To offer vulnerable young people the highest quality to young people based on their individual support needs.
- To provide security and stability for young vulnerable adults aged 16-21 either leaving care, homeless, young offenders, unaccompanied minors, and gang leavers.
- To provide a lifestyle as near as possible to that of a traditional family.
- To provide age-appropriate routines and activities to encourage young people to develop their social skills, and to maintain existing practical skills whilst learning new ones.
- To devise a comprehensive and individualised support plan to meet the young person’s personal, social, and emotional needs.
- To promote the active and positive presence of young people within their local community.
- To empower young people to exercise choice.

- To teach and facilitate young adults how to engage in business and become entrepreneurs
In order to achieve these aims, the home will provide:
- A safe environment built on, Love, boundaries, trust, and Homely Environment
- The development of a multi-skilled and highly trained staff team.
- The effective management and supervision of the staff team.
- The use of effective placement planning and risk assessment
- The encouragement of positive relationships and investment in the placement from all people involved in the welfare of the young person
- All inspections will include an examination of appliances for damage that is likely to be of a hazardous nature and likely to cause injury

**Hours: 32 Hours a week**
**Shift pattern**:Days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, lone working
**Salary**:£12 per hour.
Purpose of the Post
To provide advice, assistance, and support to young people within a supportive, homely, professional, and caring environment. To attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs. To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
To provide high standards of nurturing and therapeutic support to children and young people living in the homes, who have experienced traumatic life experiences, to help them reach their full potential.
To work within Government Guidance, placing Local Authority requirements and the Company’s policies and procedures in order to meet National Standards and meet the needs and achieve good outcomes for the young people in the homes.

- To communicate effectively with other agencies and professionals and when requested prepare written reports.

- Helping young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.
- Conducting regular keywork sessions.
- Ensuring that each young person’s pathway plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
- To act as a key worker or co-worker for a young person to ensure that the young person’s pathway plans are up to date and that all their care needs are being met. To provide a positive role model to be able to offer advice, guidance and assistance where appropriate.
- Establishing relationships which young people perceive to be positive, warm and rewarding
- Providing advice, assistance and support on a 1:1 basis to enable young people to address past and present difficulties
- Providing emotional support at times of difficulty or stress
