We’re looking for a Administrator to join our Health, Safety and Environmental team here at Oak Furnitureland. The role is a fixed term contract for 9 months and is a full time maternity cover. We offer hybrid working with 1 day from home and 4 in the office.

This is a key position supporting our HSE Advisors who travel to our retail stores, and ware-house depots across the UK. You’ll provide administrative support to deliver, facilitate and maintain the efficient and excellent provision of HSE legal compliance services. This is a great opportunity to become part of a health, safety and environmental team that are pas-sionate about safe practices and legal compliance and would be an ideal role for someone who has some health and safety experience or knowledge. No day is ever the same as a technical administrator and you will have influence over innovation and the overall contin-ual improvement of the team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- General administration -, typing and formatting of policies standard operating procedures and preparing presentations
- Assisting in the Risk assessments programme - to include setting up meetings, updating RA timetable, chasing people for completion of Risk Assessments, sending out actions after workshops and reviews, and following up on the sign off evidence.
- Insurance administration - dealing with all insurance queries and claims
- Data input and collation of all incident documentation
- To assist with incident investigations
- Filing of original HSE documentation, and maintaining a system for soft copies
- Maintaining the H&S and Environmental legal registers and intercepting changes to legal requirements and new regulations
- Data inputting all relevant information for the maintenance of the risk management section of the HSE electronic management system.
- Setting high standards of customer experience and service by responding to customers’ queries promptly and keeping them informed of progress of work
- Logging the work into the HS&E work log for management reporting purposes
- Developing management reports on HSE key area management of risk and KPIs.
- Creating the monthly board report, monthly senior meeting report and the bi-monthly Executive committee pack
- Financial management - to include raising purchase orders for expenditure, obtaining and tracking proposals and completion of work queries.
- Organising team meetings - preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions to ensure progress and completion by the team.

**Skills required**:

- Ideally some experience working within Health and Safety or a Warehouse Logistics background
- Previous Administration experience is essential
- IT Literate with a good knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communicator both verbal and written skills
