**Fire Safety Officer Format**:

- £40,000 / £45,000
- 4 days per week on site

**Fire Safety Officer Role purpose**:

- Responsible for providing a clear, consistent and up to date level of knowledge and know-how with regards all aspects of fire safety, including repairs and improvements, on a strategic and operational level to all the organisations stock.
- Ensuring the organisation meet both statutory and non-statutory fire safety responsibilities in relation to legislation and associated building regulations.
- To provide a professional advisory service based on an extensive knowledge and understanding of fire safety, embracing all areas of fire safety management

**Fire Safety Officer Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure that the effective delivery of all fire safety works are completed, to a high level of customer satisfaction and to a standard of legal compliance.
- Provide assurance to the Head of Property Services, Executive Management team and the Board on all fire safety compliance matters.
- To liaise with appointed members of the compliance team to ensure all identified fire risk assessment recommendations are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
- To attend - chair fire safety meetings as required.
- Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to manage compliance of all aspects of fire safety across all assets, ensuring that the services are maintained and improved.
- Assist in procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed.
- Participate on tender of valuation and contractor selection as required, providing on going advice on the competency of contractors undertaking works and ensure robust contract management of the selected contractors by monitoring quality of work to determine compliance with fire safety legislation and guidance.
- Ensure fire risk assessments, inspections and audits across all stock, including residential premises, and workplaces are undertaken.
