This is a great opportunity for a hardworking marketing and communications person to join the team at Hidcote Manor Gardens. As Senior Communications and Communications Officer, you’ll lead the development and delivery of the communications for the property in line with our national strategy. In this varied role, you’ll promote what we do and take ownership for promoting our special places creatively and effectively
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

What it's like to work here:An iconic garden with an international reputation, this colourful arts and crafts garden is intricately designed with a variety of outdoor spaces that will fire your imagination. The garden occupies a beautiful rural location in the North Cotswolds, so you are likely to need your own transport to get here.

What you'll be doing:You will be working closely with all departments across the Hidcote and Westbury Court Garden portfolio.

As garden properties, there are ever-changing stories to tell, and our offsite engagement is just as important as onsite. You will work particularly closely with the Senior Visitor Experience Officer and garden teams to find these gems and share them via social media and through other marketing channels.

Hidcote is working to connect more meaningfully with our local audiences, and you will play a bit part forging and maintaining relationships with local businesses, in particular.

You will be writing press releases, working with journalists and photographers, as well as seeking out new opportunities.

Who we're looking forTo deliver this role successfully, you will need;
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills: good relationship building and networking abilities to work with external partners and stakeholders
- Ability to develop creative and engaging communication media Good understanding of how to build an engaging webpage
- Experience in social media management: to build, manage and evaluate social media presence, campaigns and metrics
- Strong attention to detail: to ensure accuracy of information and consistency across all communication materials
- Flexibility, meaning a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
