**About the role**

A Stores Person is responsible for accurate receipt, storage and management of inventory, ensuring that materials and supplies are received, stored and issued in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role involves handling stock movements, inventory records and ensuring the stores area is organised and clean.

**Responsibilities**
- To take delivery of goods delivered into Bridmet, with the use of forklifts where required.
- Unload, unpack, and verify items received against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Check deliveries for accuracy and condition.
- Escalating damages, shortages and quality issues at the time of delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Use inventory management software or systems to maintain accurate stock movements and track inventory levels and transactions.
- Recording goods inwards / outwards, ensuring all goods are marked/identified with GRN numbers.
- Arrange and store goods in designated locations.
- Accurately kit and pick components on a FIFO basis using software
- To demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes.
- To maintain and ensure that any equipment used is in good working order and immediately report all repairs required to maintenance.
- To comply with company health and safety procedures and report any incidents and potentially unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensuring safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- To keep the stores area clean and tidy and free from obstruction.

**Requirements**:

- Counterbalance forklift licence (dated within last 3 years)
- Computer literacy
- Attention to detail
- Manual handling awareness
- Engineering experience desirable
