**Sales Assistant - WHSmith - Gatwick Airport**

**Contract Type - Permanent**

Contracted Hours:
**Day Shifts**
- 7.5 hours per week working any 1 out of 7 days including weekends
- 15 hours per week working any 2 out of 7 days including weekends
- 22.5 hours per week working any 3 out of 7 days including weekends
- 30 hours per week working any 4 out of 7 days including weekends
- 37.5 hours per week working any 5 out of 7 days including weekends

Sales Assistant working hours will be offered between Monday and Sunday 4am and 10pm**Night Shifts**
3 on 3 off working 12 hour shifts, 34.5 hours per week
- £11.05 per hour plus £2.00 night shift allowance for hours worked between 00:00 and 05:00

**Airport Requirements**:

- 5 years continuous references (professional/educational/personal gap reference) to gain an Airside Airport Security Pass
- Photographic ID I.E Passport or UK Driving Licence

**Sales Assistant introduction**:
To provide exceptional customer service, proactively dealing with all customers, making the most of every sales opportunity and acting as an ambassador delivering the WHSmith brand to all our customers.**Role of a Sales Assistant**:

- Deliver a friendly service, smiling, greeting and making eye contact with every customer you come into contact with
- Working on tills accurately and efficiently to provide a positive customer experience.
- Carry out stock replenishment, ensuring all areas of the store remain tidy
- Working as an active member of the team, supporting colleagues in all tasks
- Meeting high standards of display and visual merchandising to ensure the store is well presented. Accurately following planograms
