**As Toolroom Technician, your responsibilities will include**:

- Helping to create, maintain and review the routine maintenance schedule for all tooling.
- Helping to create and maintain a tooling checklist to be used in all routine maintenance activities.
- Monitoring tooling spares, ensuring stock is always available.
- Carrying out tooling modifications to deliver tangible scrap & process improvements.
- Successfully and quickly diagnosing tool failures and any effects on component quality.
- Supporting all tooling related CAD/CAM activities.
- Supporting the NPI process for all tooling requirements.
- Assisting the Toolroom and Process Engineers in the training and development of apprentices.
- Attending off-site trials as required.
- Liaising with external toolmakers to discuss repairs and modifications.
- Ensuring all health, safety and environmental policies are always adhered to.

**We are looking for a Toolroom Technician who has the following skills and experiences**:

- Extensive injection mould toolmaking experience.
- Apprentice trained Toolmaker
- Skilled in the use of manual machinery for tooling repairs and modifications (turret mill, lathe and surface grinder).
- Comfortable working on a continental shift basis (4 on 4 off).
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Flexible and adaptable in approach with the ability to learn quickly.
- Detailed and meticulous whilst seeing the bigger picture.
- Able to work safely on own initiative and someone who owns problems and finds solutions.
- A team player able to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders across the business.
