**THE COMPANY**

A multi-channel retailer based in Liverpool with offices in the UK and overseas. Their products are sold in many international countries including the UK, EU and other territories. Their home and leisure team is well established with a range of productscustomers rave about. They are looking for a Product Technologist / QA Technologist to join them and work on their Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) range.

**THE ROLE**
- As Product Technologist you will be responsible for delivering the quality strategy for your category ensuring legal, safe and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns and negativecustomer reviews
- Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet brand guidelines
- Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale.
- Organise in line and pre shipment inspections
- Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers ensure your products are meeting standards complying with legislation in the UK and other countries
- Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements
- Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams
- The company has an overseas office with an in-country quality representative therefore it is likely there will be no Far East travel in this role

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have some demonstrable experience of working in a Quality-focused role. You may already be working as an established QA Technologist / Product Technologist or be working as a Junior/Trainee and be looking to take the next step in your career. Astheir SDA range is wide, covering both home and garden electrical products, any electrical category experience would be fab for this role (for example SDA, MDA, DIY, Lighting, Audio, Entertainment, Heating & Cooling, Floorcare, Phone & Gaming Accessories etc).You’ll have good organisation skills, be able to manage your own workload and able to meet tight deadlines. Due to their location, you will need access to a car.
