We are looking to appoint an experienced, hardworking, professional individual to join the Facilities and Estates team as a Grounds Person. Sherfield School has a friendly helpful team in a beautiful setting on the Hampshire/Berkshire border.

The post-holder will be expected to work on the maintenance of the grounds and gardens, presenting them to a high standard, including the preparation of the site for the different sports that are played through the year.

Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, upkeep and appearance of the grounds whilst adhering to health and safety regulations, this is a varied and interesting role which will involve working mainly outdoors in all weather.

Set in 75 acres of grounds, Sherfield School has a forward thinking educational vision, a growing Sixth Form, impressive examination results and an ambitious development programme. This is a permanent full time post, working 5 days per week, with flexibility to cover sports fixtures and other school events.

**Qualifications, Education /Experience**

**Essential**
- A full, clean driving licence
- Experience working across both grounds and gardens roles in a large or similar organisation.

**Desirable**
- City and Guilds level 2 certificate in tractor driving and related operations
- City and Guilds level 2 certificate in chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
