Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated Health Care Assistants to work within the Greenwich Prison Cluster Social Care Team. The post holders will work across all three prison sites in the cluster, to include HMP Thameside, HMP Belmarsh and HMP ISIS.

**Responsibilities**:
The post holders will be under the guidance of a Project Manager who will manage a team of Healthcare Assistants and a Care Coordinator to deliver domestic and personal care.

The purpose of this role is to provide consistent care for all patients whilst in custody and furthermore support the resettlement process whether they are released into the community or transferring onto another establishment.

The post holder will practically assist in the delivery of high-quality personal care to patients who have been assessed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich as requiring support. These patients will have a diverse range of needs. In order to achieve the best possible outcome, a focus on developing sustainable improvements in their overall health and wellbeing is paramount.

Relevant experience in the caring profession in a healthcare setting would be desirable. The post holder will have or be willing to work towards completion of the care certificate relevant to the field within 12 weeks of starting employment.

We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.

The post holders will need to mobilize within the Greenwich Prison Cluster at short notice. However the aim is to provide as much notice as possible.
