**About Our Client**:
I have partnered up with a growing industrial and wholesale business who require a Transport Assistant to join them at their site in Huddersfield. This role will assist with driver paperwork and assist in all areas of transport planning.

This is a Monday to Friday role and a starting salary of £25,000.

Previous experience in a Transport environment at an administration/planner level is required.
- To Assist the transport department and Logistics planner with the planning of the routes/vehicles, taking into consideration operational efficiencies and resource productivity to support all compliance factors. To provide cover for the transport department when people are on leave and support the department and output.
- To develop an understanding of route planning and efficiencies that sit within and assist the transport department when needed to keep effective management of customer expectations and business SLA's.
- Organisation of driver load sheets and legislative paperwork from internal systems once routing and planning is completed. Checking job completion and reassigning within the route as required, driver debrief and route sign off all completed jobs.
- To book all vehicles into customer sites to minimise failed collections as per the Company's agreed procedure, liaising with the Logistics Planner to rearrange as required
- To maintain effective communication with Drivers, Sales, Operations and Customers to provide a high level of customer service and minimise delays and disruption to routes and customer sites. To provide feedback to all interested parties on issues, delays on site, and any non-conforming collections.
- To support the delivery a high level of service to all internal and external customers providing timely support and prompt timed reporting to include but not limited to KPI Reporting, Driver issues and activity reporting.
- To capture data to support KPI reporting against agreed targets and produce adhoc reports to support logistics, operations and sales.
- Highlight opportunities for route filling and work with the Sales Team to manage short notice customer requirements, and route changes to optimise all planned routes for cost, efficiency and service.

- Transport Experience is a must
- Customer service skill is a must
- Good administrative experience (attention to detail)
