**Job Summary**
The Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home setting. This position involves working closely with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The Senior Care Assistant will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and contributing to the development and implementation of personalised care plans.

**Duties**
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in senior care.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care strategies and improvements.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience in senior care or a related field is essential; knowledge of care home operations is advantageous.
- Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Leadership qualities to supervise and motivate junior staff effectively.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £13.10-£14.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- supervisory: 1 year (required)
- providing care: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
