To establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients, family members (who frequently present with highly distressing and emotional issues), and others involved in the persons care including professionals from health, education and social care and other members of non-statutory organisations. To provide specialist clinical assessment of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex information from a variety of sources including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients care. To support the Management Team in the delivery of the Autism Assessment Service and where needed, to lead on tasks or projects. To work collaboratively implementing a range of post-diagnostic support for individuals, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining formulations as appropriate whilst maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
