**About The Company**:
A leading wholesale electrical distributor connecting electricians, contractors and industrial organisations with the best electrical products is looking to take on 2 x Cash Assistants (Receipts) to join their team immediately. Training will be given in theBirmingham office, and once completed will then be remote working from home.
To support the Receipts Team Leader processing, reconciling and the reporting of Cash/Card Variances to branches in a timely manner for resolution. Responsible for following up queries with non-reconciled items with Branch, Regional & Finance managers daily.
**Key Responsibilities of the Cashiers Assistant (Receipts) position**:

- All banking duties including batching and inputting to system.
- Daily cheque processing
- Customer bacs receipt processing
- Customer branch receipt allocation
- Returned cheques processing
- Journal processing
- Undertaken and produce monthly/daily, bank/branch/GL & AR reconciliations ensuring they are completed to the agreed SLA.
- Monitor & manage the volume of cash/card non-reconciled items and cascade out to the business within the agreed SLA
- Process Head Office card transactions.
- Reconcile branch cash/card variances.
- Liaise with branch on cash/card variances.

**Qualifications and Experience required for the Cashiers Assistant (Receipts) position**:

- Educated to AAT or equivalent.
- Finance background & knowledge and reconciliation experience.
- Working knowledge of the General Ledger and Cost Centre accounts.
- Processing of high volume GL Journals.
- Good understanding of Accounts Receivable processes
- Intermediate excel skills with knowledge of Vlookups, pivot tables and basic formulas.
- Excellent telephone manner and organisational skills.
- At least 3 years’ experience working within a similar role for a multi-site organisation.
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks and complete assignments on time.
