The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Supplies Coordinator to join the team working between the Woodland Hospital and the new Ramsay Healthcare Day Case Unit - Glendon Wood Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, computer literate person with good communication and interpersonal skills. The role can be physically demanding and you will have ideally worked in either stock control goods-in or have a background working in a hospital or medical environment, however this is not essential as full training will be given.

As a Supplies Coordinator you will be joining a team responsible for handling all orders and management of stock coming into the hospital. Mainly working in and around the Theatre department, you will be responsible for the control of the ordering and stock control of the consumables and equipment needed in the hospital. You will be required to carry out regular stock takes, place orders for goods as well as dispatching and putting away deliveries.

Where you’ll be based

The new development, a combined investment of £14.5 million, will provide much needed outpatient (including physiotherapy), diagnostics and theatre capacity to support the current waiting times for secondary care as well as meet the future demands of an ageing and growing local population, reaching over 250K people in Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough. The day case facility will provide 2 x laminar flow theatres, endoscopy suite, an ambulatory service, static CT, MRI, X-Ray & Ultrasound, 6 Consulting Rooms, and 1 Treatment Room. Our new facility will be launched at a time when Kettering General Hospital propose to commence their own redevelopment of their existing site, and therefore we can provide capacity and support to the local healthcare system whilst this is taking place.
