Locum Litigation Lawyer - Up to £52 per hour Umbrella - Remote Working - South East England

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Litigation Lawyer for a Local Authority based in the South East of England.

The team are looking for someone to carry out the role for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of being extended. This role is advertised on a full-time basis.

The role is offered on a predominantly remote working basis but may require occasional Court attendance.

Duties may include:

- Must have experience of conducting advocacy on behalf of a Local Authority
- Will occasionally be attending the Magistrates court and dealing with a variety of Criminal prosecutions matters.
- The caseload will include a variety of matters such as Planning Enforcement, Animal Wellbeing, Building Control, Trading Standards, Fly Tipping, School Absences, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Licensing.
- Handling a range of issues from Housing Litigation consisting of Disrepair, Housing Possession based on rent arrears and Failed Succession.
- Having experience of providing general advice when bringing and defending civil claims against a council is highly favourable.
