One of the North West's leading Legal practices is seeking to add a Law Costs Draftsperson to their team
The firm specialises in Personal Injury, Defamation, Clinical Negligence, Professional Negligence, and Abuse, therefore this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team within a Liverpool Institution
**Duties in this role include, but are not limited to**:

- Drafting bills of costs (using CostsMaster drafting software)
- Providing dedicated costs support to colleagues, both within the Department and the legal business
- Working closely with colleagues and Department Manager within a team environment to ensure drafting expectations are achieved
- Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles and ensuring that service delivery is maintained
- Ensuring colleague/management expectations and outcomes are met in a timely fashion
- Identifying and adhering to department/group objectives
- Showing initiative with ability to work within a team environment but autonomously (managing own caseload) and the capability to deal with complex matters
- Liaising with colleagues to maintain departmental working practices and procedures
- Understanding legal processes and documentation including internal case management system
- Being passionate and enthusiastic about our work
- Thinking independently and taking ownership of work
- Being agile/responsive to work and adapting to change and evolution within the business
- Degree level/Qualified Costs Lawyer (desirable)
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Bill Drafting role
- Proficient in using CostsMaster drafting software to draft bills
- Excellent communication, organisation and research skills
- Good understanding of the CPR, relevant legislation, case law and costs industry regulations
- Experience of using Proclaim case management system (desirable)
