We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our Nottingham Clinic. You’ll deliver safe, high-quality venepuncture and capillary blood collection for adults and children (5+), while ensuring a professional and reassuring experience for every client.

You will run daily clinic operations independently, manage stock, process bookings and payments and support nearby clinics when required (mileage paid).

**Key Responsibilities**
Perform venepuncture and capillary blood collection from adults and children aged 5+ (preferably).
- Ensure patients are treated with care, dignity, and professionalism to minimise distress or discomfort.
- Accurately label, store, and manage biological samples in accordance with test requirements.
- Maintain and restock phlebotomy supplies, ensuring all materials are within expiry and properly stored.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with infection control policies.
- Safely dispose of clinical waste and sharps following internal protocols.
- Accurately update client records and enter data into the system.
- Manage clinic bookings, take card payments, and communicate test-related information to clients.
- Support team managers in daily work allocation and client coordination.
- Provide training for new staff as required.
- Work independently and take ownership of clinic operations and stock control.
- Identify service quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Undertake other relevant duties as required.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum of **12 months full-time phlebotomy experience** following training/certification
- **Valid phlebotomy certificate**:

- **Up-to-date vaccinations** including Hepatitis B
- **DBS check** dated within the last 3 years
- **Strong IT skills** for booking, payment, and data entry
- Excellent **communication and customer service skills**:

- Ability to **work independently and manage a clinic solo**:

- Capability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong **hand-eye coordination**, speed, and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a **busy and fast-paced environment**:

- Commitment to **maintaining confidentiality** and handling sensitive information appropriately
- Must be **eligible to work in the UK**

**What We Offer**
Our hourly rate **£18**
- Commission schemes available
- On the days when you have to cover other clinics your rate will be **£20**, mileage/tickets will be covered as well
- Company pension (if you are on Payroll)
- 28 day of holidays including Bank Holidays
- 2 x Free Health Blood Screening Assessments every 12 months (these can be used by family or friends) of their choice every year.
