An exciting opportunity has arisen at Harkins Care Homecare

We are looking for a Care Coordinator to oversee the Driffield area including Nafferton and Kilhamas we continue to expand our homecare service.

Duties will include compiling rotas for care workers, assigning care workers to service users, organising and documenting the availability of all new care workers, working closely and communicating with other members of the team, professional bodies and family members to ensure the highest quality of care possible, assisting with accepting, allocating and processing referrals for new care packages as well as assisting with accepting and processing amendments to existing care packages. The role can involve dealing with urgent situations so a calm a manner is preferable. An understanding of policy, operational practice and procedures relating to adults and carers is desirable. You will be required to work within the legislative framework relating to adult social care and will need to be able to have some understanding of current legislation in particular Mental Capacity Act 2005 and The Care Act 2014. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to manage your time effectively, working under pressure and being flexible in your approach are essential requirements of the role. You will also need to possess a high standard of written and IT skills.
- 6 months care coordinator experience in a homecare setting
- 12 months homecare experience within the last 3 years
- Level 3 NVQ in health and social care
- Understanding of the 5 Key Lines of Enquiry
- Driving licence and own vehicle is essential
- Be available to be on call every other weekend
