We are a rapidly growing independent training provider delivering various apprenticeships to some of the largest construction companies in the UK. We teach and assess various level 3 and level 4 apprenticeship standards including Design & Draughting, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying and Digital Engineering.

**Job Overview**

**Overall Job Purpose**:
To deliver the training, skills & knowledge development and assessment of apprentices including:

- Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment both in the organisation and on employer premises;
- Motivate and inspire learners/apprentices to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression;

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Working with Apprentices**
- Inspire, motivate and raise aspirations of apprentices through your enthusiasm and knowledge
- Deliver training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge being creative and innovative in selecting and adapting strategies to help apprentices to learn
- Ensure individual apprentices learning needs are met through the provision, and monitoring of, agreed additional learning support
- Assess apprentice performance in a timely manner using a range of methods that challenge and motivate students to achieve
- Provide timely, constructive, verbal and written reviews and feedback acknowledging the strengths in their work and giving a clear understanding of how to improve
- Champion apprentice success: oversee all contributors to the individual’s learning plan, gathering their feedback on performance and use this to inform a detailed progress review with clear targets and actions to support student achievement of their short and longer term goals.
- Promote the benefits of technology and support learners/apprentices in its use
- Manage and promote positive apprentice behaviours
- Stretch and Challenge Math and English with all apprentices
- Prepare apprentices for their End Point Assessment and support in achieving the grades they desire

**Personal Organisation**
- Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress and achievements
- Rate own caseload, maintaining detailed agreed action plans that overcome barriers to a good learning experience and achievement
- Prepare and review lesson plans, schemes of work and teaching and learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to take into account the learners individual needs
- Maintain own caseload forecasts of success to ensure success at or above national average or organisation targets (whichever is higher)
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic records of learning, assessment, employer and apprentice contact; compliant with funding agencies rules, awarding organisations and organisational guidelines

- Carry out duties at all times in accordance with the organisations equal opportunities, health and safety, safeguarding, prevent and risk management policies and procedures
- Promote by consistent example internally and externally the philosophy and responsibility for promoting equality and diversity.
- Embed equality, diversity, safeguarding, prevent, British values into the curriculum
- Undertake any other reasonable duties within the framework of the post.
- Meet individual KPI’s set by T3.

**Working with employers**
- Build positive and collaborative relationships with employers
- Work in partnership with employers to design programmes of learning which combine on and off the job learning to meet both employer workforce skill development needs and awarding body/EPA requirements
- Actively promote progression pathways and seek opportunities to secure Learner/Apprentice progression to higher level learning/employment
- Plan and deliver short courses to the clients within the AEC sector

**Essential Requirements**
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sector with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices
- Assessor Qualification - eg A1, TAQA, CAVA
- Experience in teaching, tutoring at level 3 and 4
- Familiarity with the requirements of relevant awarding bodies and apprenticeship standards
- Full UK Driving License, own transport and flexibility to travel is essential
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and multi task to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner

**Preferred but not essential**
- Internal Quality Assurance Qualification, TAQA Level 4
