**System Engineer**

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be representing a leading manufacturer focused on instruments for scientific research.

As a System Engineer, you'll be part of the R&D team and responsible for the design and development of X-ray products. You'll be supporting challenging projects that will impact current and future products.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with optical systems and/or PLC systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Design complex systems and products.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve system design weaknesses.
- Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation developments.
- Encourage new product developments of tool architecture and design.
- Prepare requirements documents and contribute to design reviews.
- Support the integration process of the Alpha and Beta tools, and optimise tool configurations.
- Develop and document calibration and alignment processes. Prepare tool characterisation test plans. Develop test-jigs.
- Train Tech Support and production team.
