**Position**:
We have an exciting opportunity for HSQ Advisor to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Kingswinford, West Midlands.
The key purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with relevant standards and continually improve our performance and culture in HSE, as measured by metrics including, accident measures, near misses, action completion, audit schedule adherence, carbon foot print, re-cycling, sustainability, energy consumption.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to be able to promote Health and Safety throughout the business, specifically within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. You will be able to provide technical knowledge and support to the management team as they assimilate the HSE responsibilities.
**Requirements**:
- Conducting independent audits of the Kingswinford and UK operations and maintain an audit schedule
- Chairing monthly H&S committee meetings and ensure follow up on actions
- Tracking completion of actions arising for the above points and ensuring their efficiency.
- Conduct weekly safety walks ensuring HSE regulations are being adhered to support any anomalies / NCRs.
- Ensuring compliance with Environmental standards, including emissions, ESOS, noise levels, emergency lighting, PAT testing, LEV’s, PPE requirements is being monitored and mitigated accordingly.
- Ensure that all waste carriers’ licenses, SIC Codes and discharge licenses are current and compliant.
- Seeking opportunities to reduce emissions and energy consumption for the whole UK operation including fleet and remote working.
- Development of the current near miss reporting process to drive a proactive approach.
- Assisting managers and supervisors in conducting toolbox talks, to promoting HSE.
- Ensure continuance and adherence of ISO45001 (ISO8001) and ISO14001 standards.
- Liaise with all HSE and third-party statutory bodies as appropriate.
- Ensure that there is a mechanism to monitor, review and update the legal register, asset register and risk register
- Review and communicate to the appropriate authority’s energy usage, recycling, battery usage / disposal.
- Champion continuous improvement workshops to reduce waste, save energies and decrease our carbon footprint.
- Ensure that the control of contractors and CDM regulations are being adhered to.

- Graduate calibre
- NEBOSH
- Several years background in H&S, including auditing and risk assessments in a manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrable record of total system environmental improvement
- ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Numerate and able to understand engineered systems
- Inclusive and able to drive change and adherence
- Able to converse at all levels
- Self-motivated and driven to continually improve

- IEMA Membership
- ISO26000
- ISO22301
**Other information**:
- Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift
- Salary - £37,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
