The Role:
As a History Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our passionate teaching staff and helping to deliver engaging history lessons that captivate our students' imaginations. You'll have the unique opportunity to instill a love for history, encouraging young learners to appreciate its relevance and impact on the world today.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with history teachers to plan and deliver dynamic and thought-provoking lessons that cater to students' diverse interests and abilities.
- Provide individual and small group support, helping students grasp historical concepts and events effectively.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, debates, and activities that encourage critical thinking and historical analysis.
- Assist in organizing historical research projects, field trips, and interactive learning experiences.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to students, nurturing their curiosity about the past and supporting their personal growth.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and teachers.
- Contribute to the development of innovative teaching resources to make history come alive in the classroom.
**Requirements**:
- A degree in History or a related field of study.
- A genuine passion for history and a desire to share your enthusiasm with young learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with students and staff effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage various tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A dedication to education and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Prior experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
