The insurance industry relies on a rich set of tools for predictive analytics and risk management. Actuaries build models that process vast amounts of data. There is an urgent need for software that can run these models fast enough so that they can be effectivelyused in real-time decision making. We built Tyche to address this need.
Tyche is an innovative platform that has been built from the ground up with usability and performance in mind. Tyche allows users to express their calculations in a very natural way, and calculations that used to run overnight with other software can now berun in minutes. Our clients leverage Tyche to achieve their regulatory and business goals both interactively and as the engine powering our rapidly growing portfolio of SAAS solutions for business-critical insurance workflows.

In terms of technology, we offer the chance to work across a broad modern stack, including:

- Core business logic in C#
- High-performance C# and C++ code
- GUI development in WPF
- Virtualisation and large-scale grid deployment

Essential skills:

- C# experience
- Educated to degree level with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or Computer Science
- Passionate about technology, and writing well-designed, well-tested code
- Personable with the ability to build excellent relationships and collaborate with colleagues and clients
- Able to communicate and explain sophisticated ideas to others

**Desirable skills**:

- Cloud - Azure/AWS/Google Compute
- A proven understanding of computer hardware, and how to write performant code.
- Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies
- Microsoft HPC
- WPF
- OpenMP
- C++ experience
