Childerwood Nursery is seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our successful and welcoming provision on a full-time basis. We are looking for a caring and patient individual who can work collaboratively within our team to create a stimulating and purposeful environment that offers a wealth of learning opportunities, allowing all children to play, develop, and learn.
We place immense importance on providing high-quality physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for our children, ensuring their positive development and growth. Therefore, we are in search of a team member with prior experience in a nursery setting who shares our commitment and passion for early childhood education.
**Key Duties**:
- Promote the acceptance and inclusion of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), encouraging appropriate social interactions among peers.
- Monitor children’s responses to learning activities and, in consultation with the Early Years Teacher, adapt these activities where necessary to meet intended learning outcomes.
- Provide positive encouragement, feedback, and praise to reinforce children’s efforts while fostering their self-reliance and self-esteem.
- Have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of the responsibilities involved in caring for nursery-aged children.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification
- Be knowledgeable about current legislation related to Early Years, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), SEND, safeguarding, and the Childcare Act 2006.
- Understand child development and the varied needs of children.
- Have the ability to cultivate partnerships with parents, carers, and families.
- Communicate effectively with both adults and children.
- Exude passion, attentiveness, and patience, with an energetic approach to the bustling days at our nursery.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, flexibility, and willingness to take on additional duties as required.
- Be aware of Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and hygiene practices.
**Job Specifics**:
**Start Date**: As soon as possible or following a notice period.
**Job Role**: Permanent, Full-time. The role involves 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 17.45 pm.
