As a **Trade Counter Assistant**, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and yard running smoothly. From serving our customers in the yard to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales on the trade counter, you’ll be at the heart of our operations.

**Hours of Work**:Full time and permanent position - Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm and every 2nd Saturday 8am-12pm.
- **So, what will you be doing?**_

As a **Trade Counter Assistant** you will have one of the most important roles within the branch network. You will regularly be the first and last point of contact for customers visiting the branch, so you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience as well as promoting and maximising sales.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
- Assist customers at the Trade Counter by processing orders and payments
- Generate new business in a growing branch by confidently talking to customers, face to face and over the phone about our services
- Load/unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
