Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Referral To Treatment (RTT) Validator to join our team based at our Broomfield Hospital site.

Our fantastic Validation team are responsible for ensuring that the timeline data for patients on the waiting lists (RTT and non RTT, Planned and open referrals) is accurate and appropriately reflects the patients’ current position on the pathway. This role requires liaison with colleagues across the Trust from all disciplines and supports excellent clinical service to the patients. The team requires a validator to work with the existing validation team and RTT Service Delivery Manager to deliver accurate data quality and RTT support to colleagues across the Trust.

Applicants must be well-organised, motivated individuals who are numerate, competent in the use of Lorenzo (or other PAS system), and have good knowledge of RTT pathways and an aptitude for learning new software packages.

- To work with all directorates and Service managers to ensure that the 18 week wait incomplete data is accurate
- To uphold the Trust’s Values - Excellent, Compassionate, Respectful
- To liaise with relevant clinical tea ms to ensure the quality of validation is consistent with clinical practice.
- Engage in collaborative problem solving with colleagues to share expert RTT knowledge
- Provide update reports to operational managers on validation findings to support best practice in recording RTT status and managing patient pathways
- Using the appropriate Trust systems in place to capture and record accurate PTL data
- Validating the weekly and monthly reports within agreed timescales
- Monitor the PTLs to maintain accurate waiting times throughout the patient pathway
- To use and update multiple clinical information systems and databases to understand and track the patient pathways
- To use electronic patient notes and clinical systems to gain accurate information when validating pathways
- Good IT skills in general are required in particular in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook
