Clinical Fellow with Special Interest in Obstetric

Obstetric ultrasound sessions, two per week - will be expected to perform fetal growth scans and trained accordingly. Appropriate clinical responsibility for the care of patients delegated by the consultant to their charge. Co-responsibility for the proper functioning of the department, including supervision of more junior medical staff. Running of labour ward with consultant cover on-site during the day, consultant off-site after hours.

Clinical duties may be at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville hospital sites, with the on-calls at Stoke Mandeville. Participation in clinical audit. Attendance at clinical meetings and case conferences as appropriate. Working within the multidisciplinary team.

Co-ordinating appropriate medical, surgical and allied disciplines concerned with patient care and communicating appropriately with general practitioners and community agencies. Clinic duties such as gynaecology and ante-natal clinics, as well as some specialist clinics. Some gynae clinics are off site.
