We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join a leading Waste Recycling business in Rotherham.
Must have wheeled loading shovel licence
This Role is a Temp to Permanent Position in 12 weeks
Shift Pattern
Week 1 Monday - Friday 5am - 2pm & Week 2 Monday - Friday 1pm - 10pm rotating shift pattern
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the operation of the anaerobic digestion process and mobile plant, as well as the housekeeping and maintenance activities, in compliance with site licences/PPC permits, health and safety legislation, ABPR and planning conditions and Companypolicies and procedures.
Material handling operations using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with site environmental permit and municipal contract
Work in accordance with SHEQ policies, including the reporting of close calls & incidents
Involvement in best practice and continuous improvement, undertaking regular site audits/checks
Close working relationship with BDR Management Team and staff
Comply with changes to company standards and legislation
Undertake light maintenance & cleaning of equipment
Assist site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health & safety, behavioural safety observations, KPI’s and implementing necessary remedial actions in the event of variance
Ensure the highest level of housekeeping is maintained
To work in MBT & weighbridge areas of site where required
Essential
Willingness to learn and undertake studies to obtain level 2 City and Guilds Qualification in Sustainable Waste Management
Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
Good people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
Operation of mobile plant in particular wheeled loading shovel
