**Little Cherubs Nursery **is a Montessori Nursery of the 21st Century accommodating children from the age of 2 up to 5 years. They offer added structure to prepare children for school readiness, celebrating every one of their achievements, making them resilient and indeed creating a firm foundation for the rest of their lives.

They are privileged enough to have an enormous walled garden in which children are safe and free to explore the outdoors. They practice mindfulness and philosophy, which can help children to enhance their observational skills and focus, regulate their emotions and can be beneficial to their social, emotional and cognitive development

**The main responsibilities of this job role will include**:

- Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
- Assisting the facility in meeting OFSTED requirements, which will also benefit in the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Being a team player.
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children appropriately to meet the Apprenticeship requirements.
- Taking part in First Aid training as required.
- Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in the Apprenticeship Standards or appropriate legal requirements as required within the childcare setting.
- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to during the Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery and management
- Working with teams across the nursery setting
- Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations towards your Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
- Supporting children’s self-help needs.
- Being creative and enthusiastic.
- Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
