**Ruby on Rails Developer, Fully Remote based, 1 year CONTRACT - 3 days per week** An innovative and exciting digital and services agency is seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Developer to join their growing team on a contract basis that is likely to extend beyond the initial 12 month tenure. The role will require you to work 3 days perweek. This will be a fully remote position for the enitre duration. The Ruby on Rails Developer will be of mid-senior experience level and work closely alongside a fantastic project team. The Developer will be working on a specific and signifcant project which is the design of a fantastic long-term clients' website, deliveringa full refresh of their homepage design. They are also developing a new interface for staff members to manage content as well as a varied range of other sub projects. The team are using a bespoke CMS that is built with the Ruby on Rails framework. They are also bringing Rails up to date and tracking the latest 6.1 release, as well as performance upgrades and environment improvements. **KEY SKILLS & BACKGROUND** - Knowledge of routine SQL and a solid grasp of GIT - Experience of Ruby outside the realms of Rails. Implementing business logic with custom DSL's. - Good communicator who can work, where necessary, with stakeholders. - It would advantageous if you have basic front end skills (CSS Fundamentals) **TECH OVERVIEW** - Rails 6.1 / Ruby 2.7 - ES6, StimulusJs, jQuery - Custom SCSS, MariaDB, Elasticsearch - GIT, Github, Redis **ABOUT THE COMPANY** You will join a welcoming and established team and will be able to enhance your own skillset with further professional development/training from the experienced global team.
