CR Smith Manufacturing is a fast-paced, dynamic, manufacturing organisation, producing made-to-order, bespoke window and door products for the New Build, Extension & Refurbishment sectors.

Due to continuous growth and an ongoing commitment towards our unique customer service philosophy, we have a new opportunity within our logistics department.

The majority of the time will be spent working with our despatch department which focus on preparing orders for delivery, but also in receiving products from suppliers. This is a key role which requires a keen eye for detail as well as an ability to communicate effectively, remain organised and composed whilst under pressure.

**The Role**

Reporting to: Logistics and Supply Chain Manager

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting the operations management team on preparing, loading and delivering goods.
- Brand ownership and responsibility for maintaining brand philosophy.
- Working within all safety standards.
- Maintaining paperwork and updating internal systems

**Essential skills**:

- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Driving licence is essential
- Highly self motivates
- Sound knowledge of IT systems
- Ability to work to demanding targets
- Ability to carry out manual labour for long periods
- Strong understanding of health and safety practice (particularly manual handling)

This is a key appointment to support our ongoing vision for service excellence in support of continued growth and would be well suited to individuals looking for a career in a dynamic operational role. The potential opportunity for career progression will be available amongst other benefits.

**Working hours**:
Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm

Ability to work reasonable overtime at short notice is essential.

**Salary**: £9.90-£10.50 per hour
